Chartered Architect Gareth P. Maguire’s work is research-based, it explores and builds on the traditional building and design skills within contemporary Architecture.

Current projects are focused on tectonics, with a passion for exploring the science and art of construction. His Studio work aims to further the progression of trade crafts like carpentry, metalwork, masonry, roofing and leadworks with the intention of ensuring their progression and current relevance in modern architecture. This is not only essential to the maintenance of heritage but also for the preservation of well-established trade skills and knowledge.

All projects are explored in the workshop by making large scale models, through one-to-one experimentation and material testing, forming the basis of the design process.
